Of all the challenges faced by women in the workplace in the G20, access to childcare topped the list for women in Saudi Arabia with almost half saying it was the issue they were most worried about. Three in five women in the kingdom said men had better access to jobs, a result reflected in the fact that 42 percent of respondents to the poll in Saudi Arabia said they had never worked. OECD data shows that only about 21 percent of women aged 15-64 in Saudi Arabia are in the workforce.
When it comes to harassment, nearly a third of Saudi women who do work, or 31 percent, said they had been harassed at work but only 15 percent would report it.
